Bob Drury Biograpghy

Bob began playing the guitar at the of 9 and, although largely self taught, went on to play pop and rock guitar in various bands and projects throughout his teen years and beyond. He was drawn to the classical guitar in his late twenties and for the first time sought formal lessons. Bob developed his playing alongside performance and theory exams with Trinity College London and the ASBRSM. He entered full time music education at Canterbury Christ Church University in 1995 graduating with a BA (hons) in Music in 1998 and an MA in Music Performance (instrumental specialist John Mills) in 2000. In 2015 he presented a recital to Trinity College London and was awarded their ATCL Performers Diploma. Bob has recorded three CDs of solo guitar music; 'música de España', 'Guitarra Romantica' and 'Images' all of which are available via the 'Store' page on this site. In recent years Bob has composed original music for the classical guitar and has 'self-published' two collections of solo pieces along with a number of stand-alone tunes. Theses publications are also available from the site store. An advocate of continued professional development Bob currently studies the guitar with Graham Anthony Devine (Trinity Laban, Greenwich).
